Bird removal integrated systems

Pigeons, starlings, crows, jackdaws and gulls are now more and more present in urban settlements and are a serious threat not only for statues, fountains, monument facades and public buildings but also for private houses, industries and warehouses, to which they cause permanent damage, degradation and sanitary problems. Through their droppings, these birds can carry around 60 diseases, some of which are life-threatening and/or contagious for man and pets, such as salmonella, ornithosis, borreliosis, toxoplasmosis, apart from being carriers of fleas and mites which cause strong infestations in the buildings where they nest, often inside the soffits.

 What could we do?

Colservice designs and realizes integrated systems for removing birds through the use of electrical dissuaders (which disturb animals with slight but tedious electrical shocks), mechanical spikes (which prevent the pests from resting on a surface through the use of stainless steel spikes), mechanical bird wires (which hinder a bird’s landing by making the surface unstable thanks to their elasticity), anti-intrusion nets (which hinder birds’ access to the protected areas) and chemical repellents (non toxic repellent paste which makes the area unstable and unsafe to land). Colservice executes the installation of sound systems to scare birds by reproducing birds’ alarm cries and, at the same time, the cries of their natural “enemies” (hawks and other birds of prey) so as to unnerve them into moving on. Such a device has undergone laboratory tests which certify that they do not produce noise pollution in accordance with UN EN ISO 3746. All our systems have been acknowledged as efficient and effective, harmless and safe.
